    Some songwriters sound like they were built in a studio. Brett Cassidy sounds like he was built on the road — a decade of touring across Western Canada, late-night rehearsal spaces, and packed bars distilled into songs that sit somewhere between classic country, traditional folk, and indie-psych rock. The Calgary-based multi-instrumentalist brings his authentic sound to Red Bird's patio on Thursday, August 20th, with support from Jaiden Riley opening the night. Guitar and banjo in hand, Cassidy's sound is lived-in, unpolished on purpose, and built for rooms where strangers end up friends by last call. Free entry, 8-10pm, no ticket required.

The country singer-songwriter who traded professional baseball for busking on the streets of downtown Kelowna has since racked up 8 million+ streams, sold-out headline shows across Canada, and shared stages with the likes of ERNEST, Dasha, and Jordan Davis. On August 29th, he brings that momentum to the Red Bird stage for one night only. Opening the night are The Redwood Twins, an identical twin duo fresh off a summer of festival stages across Canada, whose acoustic-to-electric live show sets the stage.     On September 9th, Red Bird welcomes Vieux Farka Touré, the Malian guitar virtuoso known worldwide as "The Hendrix of the Sahara”, for a rare Okanagan performance. Son of the legendary Ali Farka Touré, Vieux has spent two decades carving his own path through desert blues, collaborating with the likes of Khruangbin, Dave Matthews, and Derek Trucks along the way. Expect blistering guitar work, an unmistakable charisma, and a room full of people who came for the music and stayed for the pizza and pints.     Fifteen years, three continents, and one camper van at a time, Kim Churchill has busked his way from small-town Australia to Glastonbury stages and 60 million streams, and on September 12th he's bringing that whole wild journey to the Red Bird Stage. Known for his one-man-band energy and the Platinum-selling hit "Window to the Sky," Kim writes his songs at sunrise and performs them like it's the last show he'll ever play.
