Four artist, one stage, one free night of folk

Four Songwriters take to the stage on October 29th, to bring you an intimate Songwriters Showcase.

Here’s how the night unfolds. Each of our four artists will play a short solo set, giving you a proper taste of their sound. Then they’ll come together for a Nashville-style songwriters round, trading songs, sharing the stories behind them, and (if the mood is right) lending harmonies and a few surprises to each other’s tunes. It’s the kind of live music you can’t get from a playlist.

Brett Cassidy
Brett Cassidy is a multi-instrumentalist, songwriter, and producer who spent the past decade sharpening his craft in bands across Western Canada before stepping out on his own. His solo work reflects a deep connection to place, community, and the quiet momentum of everyday life. His debut EP, A Selection of Ballads from the Old Man River (October 2024), draws from classic country, traditional folk, and the textured edges of indie-psych rock. With guitar and banjo often in hand, his music feels lived-in and welcoming, built for rooms where strangers stomp their feet together and leave as friends. A “stubbornly DIY” musician who is perpetually touring, Cassidy has played packed bars and grassroots festivals including Lie Low Festival, Eastern Slopes Music & Arts Festival, and Canmore Warm Up.

Anna Lewis
Country singer/songwriter Anna Lewis brings her own twist to country pop, with influences like Maren Morris and Kacey Musgraves. She mixes original tunes with well-known covers, which makes for a fun, engaging night of music. Lewis has played shows across Alberta, Ontario, and Nashville, and has been featured on CBC’s Calgary Eyeopener, the Studio B Made in Alberta podcast, and the UK-hosted Live Country Music Sessions. She’s also part of the “Notes from the Crowd” family. Her first single, “Me, Myself & Wine,” is streaming on all platforms and has been spun on Sirius XM’s Top of the Country channel and other Canadian country radio stations. A new single is on the way this fall.

Devin Foster
Devin Foster writes acoustic-driven songs rooted in honest, emotionally focused storytelling, drawn from real-life experiences and a passion for mental health awareness. Influenced by Bon Iver, Matt Maeson, and Mt. Joy, his music balances themes of struggle and hope, and lands as raw, reflective, and genuine.

Pluvelle
Alternative singer/songwriter Pluvelle blends alt rock, acoustic, blues, and indie influences, using a soft finger-picking style on electric guitar to create moody, broody ballads. Often compared to Lana Del Rey and Billie Eilish, she is both raw and sweet, with a dynamic alternative sound that pulls you in close.
