Bossa Jazz and Folk soul
On November 12th from 7 to 9 pm, Red Bird Brewing is turning up the warmth with an evening of free live music in Kelowna, featuring Chaii and special guest Kailee Duggan. No tickets, no cover, no catch. Just two talented Okanagan artists, a fresh pint, and a room full of friends.
Chaii is a Kelowna-based artist and audio engineer with a lifelong passion for sound. When she’s not running sound for live shows or mixing tracks, she’s creating melodies of her own. Her music has wandered across a number of genres, but lately she’s fallen for groovy bossa jazz rhythms, and that easy, swaying feel is exactly what she’s bringing to the Red Bird stage.
Creativity has always been the spark behind her audio journey, and this night is a chance to hear a side of Chaii that she’s excited to share. Someone who spends her days making other musicians sound their best has a pretty great ear for what makes a room feel good.
Kailee Duggan
Kicking off the evening is Okanagan-based singer-songwriter Kailee Duggan, whose soulful folk sound has been evolving since she first picked up a guitar at age eight. Kailee blends folk, pop, jazz, and classic singer-songwriter influences, and her music has drawn comparisons to Norah Jones and Lianne La Havas. Her songs explore personal growth, introspection, and human connection, and she’s earned a reputation for captivating audiences with an authentic, engaging stage presence.
Kailee has shared the stage with acclaimed Canadian artists including Steven Page, Dan Mangan, Jill Barber, and Current Swell. Her debut album, Train of Thought, was released in 2025 and has received regular airplay on CBC Radio One West and CKUA. In 2026, she completed her first tour and travelled to Toronto to showcase at the Women in Music Global Summit as one of four selected BC artists. She has kept a full performance schedule across BC this year and is preparing new music for release in 2027, so this is a chance to catch a rising Okanagan talent up close.
