    Calgary-born folk singer-songwriter Michael Bernard Fitzgerald brings his warm voice and honest storytelling to Red Bird Brewing on Tuesday, November 17th, with special guest Merrick Winter. With six albums, international tours and stages shared with Bryan Adams, Ben Harper and Kings of Leon behind him, Fitzgerald is the kind of artist who makes a room feel like a living room.     Think you’ve got the thumbs of a champion? On Wednesday, November 18th, Red Bird Brewing hosts a Super Smash Bros Tournament that turns a regular midweek night into a full-on showdown. Sign-up starts at 7pm, and 32 players will battle it out in a knockout style bracket. The last player standing earns a spin on the Red Bird Prize Wheel. Not competing? Grab a pint, a wood fired pizza, and a seat to cheer on the action. It’s one of the most fun events in Kelowna, and the bragging rights are free. Game details are coming soon, so stay tuned!

    Two Western Canadian indie bands, one free Thursday night. Kamloops duo The Houses (Where We Grew Up) open with hazy shoegaze, noisy guitars, and melodies that sneak up on you. Then Calgary’s Flowshine takes the stage with big harmonies and sing-along hooks built over more than a decade on the road. It’s a lineup with range, and it’s free. Settle in at the community tables, enjoy wood fired pizza alongside something from our tap list, and soak up live music in Kelowna. Thursday, November 19th, 7 to 9pm.
