May Long Weekend continues at Red Bird Brewing with Backyard Sessions: Buckles, Boots & Daisy Dukes on Saturday, May 16. A full night of live country music, cold drinks, and high-energy summer vibes, all set on our outdoor stage.

Doors open at 6:30pm with music running from 7pm to 11pm. This ticketed Backyard Sessions event features a stacked lineup of Canadian country talent, bringing together rising stars and standout performers for one unforgettable night in Kelowna.

Dawson Gray

Headlining the night is Dawson Gray, a fast-rising name in Canadian country music known for his charismatic performances and sharp songwriting. From busking the streets of Kelowna to selling out headline shows across Canada, Dawson has built his career from the ground up. With over 7 million streams, major tour support slots alongside artists like ERNEST, Jordan Davis, and James Barker Band, and his debut EP Chevy Back gaining national traction, he continues to establish himself as one of the country’s most promising new voices. His live show brings both energy and connection, making him a standout on any stage.

JIMI

Direct support comes from JIMI, delivering a bold and electrifying mix of blues, rock, and country influences. With a smoky voice, powerful guitar work, and a fearless stage presence, JIMI bridges vintage soul with modern energy. Fresh off a Western Canada tour and recent collaborations with Bryan Adams, she is carving out a sound that feels both raw and refined, bringing a dynamic edge to the night’s lineup.

Cruz Vallis

Opening the evening is Cruz Vallis, a Western Canadian country artist known for his heartfelt songwriting and blue-collar roots. Originally from Nova Scotia and now based in Alberta, Cruz blends traditional country influences with a modern sound. With performances at major events like the Calgary Stampede, Big Valley Jamboree, and the Canadian Finals Rodeo, he brings authenticity and strong stage presence to every performance as he continues to build momentum toward the release of his debut album.

This Backyard Sessions night is all about the theme. We’re calling on you to show up in your best country-inspired outfits for Buckles, Boots & Daisy Dukes, with prizes for best dressed throughout the night. Our selfie machine will be on site to capture it all, with prizing sponsored by Howdy Partner Vintage Clothing, who will also be hosting a pop-up shop during the event.
