Some guitar players are good. Garrett Mason is the guy other great guitar players talk about. Considered by many to be Canada's finest, Garrett blends blues, soul, funk, country, and psychedelia into a live show that's earned him praise from Joel Plaskett, JP Cormier, Bahamas, and The Sheepdogs. On Thursday, September 17th, he brings that sound to Red Bird Brewing for a free night of live music in Kelowna. It's not every day you get free live music this good, so come early and grab your seat.
Femme Fatale Burlesque returns to Red Bird Brewing on September 18 for one last steamy outdoor show, joined by special guests P.No Noire and Faggedy Randy from Chicago. Expect an evening of bold performances, glamour, comedy, and plenty of surprises on the Red Bird outdoor stage. This ticketed event is strictly 19+ and will contain partial nudity and mature language.
The first ski and board swap of the season means thousands of used skis, snowboards, boots, poles and outerwear at deep discounts, plus new clearout gear if you're after the good stuff. Drop off your own gear Friday and shop the sale Saturday from 9am to 3pm. Bonus: proceeds partially support the Canadian Ski Patrol Ogopogo Zone, so your bargain hunting actually gives back. Stick around after for a pizza and a pint on the patio, because a day of deal hunting deserves a proper reward. Click for more info.
Gypsy jazz meets surf rock meets old-timey swing. That's the sound Django's Jewels are bringing to Red Bird Brewing on Saturday, September 19th for a free live show, and it's not one you'll want to miss. This talented crew of BC musicians has spent years touring the province, building a live show packed with virtuosic playing and impossible-not-to-dance-to grooves. Kansas-lee opens the night with her powerful voice and potent lyrics. Bring your friends and get ready for a set that jumps genres as easily as it gets the room moving.
Monday nights just got a lot more interesting. Starting September 14th, Red Bird Brewing is hosting a free, weekly knock-out Crib Tournament, running every Monday through November 30th. Win your table to earn your seat at the December 7th tournament finale where all our weekly champs battle it out for a seasons pass to SilverStar Mountain Resort. Free event, no experience required. Pull up a chair, this is one Monday tradition worth showing up for.
Country Swing Dance Nights arrive at Red Bird Brewing with free beginner lessons from Okanagan Country Swing, dance demonstrations, open dance time, and a western wear pop-up shop.
Dive into a fast-paced night of 4-player Tetris battles at Red Bird Brewing! Show up at 7pm to sign up, grab a drink, and get ready for competitive knockout-style matchups on the big screen. The first 32 players will compete for a shot at spinning our prize wheel. Fun to play, fun to watch — and perfect for all skill levels.
Toronto's The Free Label is bringing their signature blend of 70s disco, 90s R&B, and pure funk energy to Red Bird Brewing on Thursday, September 24th, and they're not coming alone. West Coast instrumental fusion act SØURDØPE opens the night with warm horns and grooving rhythms inspired by the tides of the Pacific Northwest. With over 15 million views on their live performances and collaborations with Grammy-nominated artists under their belt, The Free Label has earned a reputation as one of the most electric live acts touring today. Tickets won't last, click through for the full lineup details and to grab yours before this one sells out.
Two of Canada's most groundbreaking Indigenous electronic artists are sharing one stage, and it's happening on our patio. On September 25, JUNO Award winner Shub (formerly DJ Shub, co-founder of A Tribe Called Red and creator of powwow-step) co-headlines with Vancouver's Handsome Tiger, whose bass-heavy sets have lit up Shambhala, Bass Coast, and Lightning in a Bottle. Together they're bringing a night of thundering bass, ancestral rhythms, and pure dance-floor energy to North Kelowna. This is not a night to sit this one out. Details and tickets inside.
One night, one stage, one community showing up for its neighbours. Okanagan Strong brings live music to Red Bird Brewing's patio for a good cause. Every dollar from tickets, donations and sponsorships goes straight to wildfire relief funds supporting the South and North Okanagan. Bring a donation for the Fill the Truck drive with Mamas for Mamas, drop some extra change in the QR-code donation box, or simply show up and enjoy the music, knowing your $10 ticket is making a real difference. Kids 12 and under get in free. Artist lineup coming soon, but you'll want to mark this one down now.
