Live music in Kelowna continues Saturday, June 13 as The Dan Tait Band takes the stage at Red Bird Brewing for a night of roots-driven Americana and rock, joined by Heather Gemmell for an unforgettable opening set. Music runs from 8pm to 11pm for this ticketed live music event.


The evening features The Dan Tait Band, known for their honest and heartfelt approach to songwriting that blends Americana and rock with a grounded, lived-in feel. Fronted by singer-songwriter Dan Tait, the band brings together a group of seasoned musicians including D’Arcy Booth on bass, Rod Anderson on drums, and Gary Talman on guitar, with additional harmonies and keys from Aidan Mayes.


Together, they create a sound that is rich, dynamic, and deeply human. Their songs explore real-life experiences with sincerity and conviction, delivered through tight musicianship and a strong onstage connection that resonates with audiences.

Heather Gemmell

Opening the night is Heather Gemmell, a standout artist from Kimberley, BC whose performances blend roots, blues, and bluegrass into a unique and captivating one-woman show. Known for her dynamic stage presence and multi-instrumental talent, Heather seamlessly combines acoustic guitar, banjo, lap steel, harmonica, and percussion into a performance that is both visually and sonically engaging.


Winner of the CBC Searchlight 2022 Fan Choice Award for her song “NorthStar Burning,” Heather has built a strong reputation across western Canada for her storytelling and ability to connect with audiences. Her music explores a wide emotional range while her performances bring an infectious energy that pulls the crowd into the experience.


If ticket sales reach capacity, this show will take place on Red Bird Brewing’s outdoor stage, offering a summer concert experience under the Kelowna sky.
