Live music in Kelowna turns up the volume Saturday, May 30 as Texas Major headlines a high-energy night of rock and roll at Red Bird Brewing, with support from Vancouver trio The Vidos. Music runs from 8pm to 11pm for a ticketed show built for loud guitars, big riffs, and an electric crowd.


Headlining the night is Texas Major, a Kelowna-based two-piece band known for delivering massive, riff-driven rock and roll that feels far bigger than the sum of its parts. Often leaving audiences asking how just two musicians can create such a full and powerful sound, Texas Major brings intensity, swagger, and a relentless stage presence to every performance.


With a reputation for high-volume shows and a no-holds-barred approach to rock music, the band has shared stages with iconic Canadian and international artists including Tom Cochrane, 54-40, Sebastian Bach, and Wide Mouth Mason. Their sound is rooted in classic rock energy but delivered with a modern edge that continues to win over audiences across Canada.

The Vidos

Opening the night is The Vidos, a Vancouver-based “sludge-pop” trio known for blending gritty rock textures with infectious melodies and sharp songwriting. Formed in 2011, the band has spent over a decade touring across Canada, building a loyal following through their dynamic live shows and unmistakable sound.


Following the release of their debut LP Right in the Kisser!, The Vidos continued their momentum with a Western Canada headline tour in 2025 supporting their breakout single “The ICU.” They have shared stages with a wide range of artists including Big Wreck, The Jins, Headstones, Default, and The Pack A.D., establishing themselves as a standout act in Canada’s independent rock scene.


Their upcoming EP Gimme Some Sugar, Babe! continues to showcase their bold, high-energy approach to songwriting and performance.
