Bright, soulful indie-pop that moves the heart and the room.
Miina is a vibrant musical project led by frontwoman Laura Mina Mitic, blending radiant indie-pop melodies with deep emotional resonance and a strong sense of community. Built alongside longtime creative partners Pat Ferguson, Lo Waight, Graham Keehn, Jamil Demers, and Chelsea Kanstrup, the project grew from years of shared musical history as members of the acclaimed band Carmanah. Together, they bring a polished, full-bodied live sound driven by thoughtful musicianship, rich harmonies, and an undeniable on-stage chemistry.
In August 2023, Miina released her debut EP Slow Motion, produced by Gus Van Go (Metric, The Beaches). The release marked a dynamic breakout year, with singles Hiccup (featuring Lowell) and Pressure receiving extensive radio play across Canada and landing multiple sync placements on CBC television series. The band quickly became a standout on festival stages, performing at Rifflandia, Kaslo Jazz Festival, and Laketown Shakedown, while opening for artists including k.d. lang, Shakey Graves, Sam Roberts, Bedouin Soundclash, and Moontricks.
Miina’s live performances are immersive and uplifting — music that feels brighter, funkier, and more danceable, while still rooted in compassion, environmental awareness, and the shared human experience. With a debut full-length album Where the Light Goes on the horizon, produced by Howard Redekopp and Erik Nielsen, this show offers a chance to catch Miina in a powerful and exciting moment of growth.
