Kayla Williams is back with a brand new record and she’s ready to yacht-pop and rock Kelowna!

Following the success of her debut EP RETRODELIA — a vibrant release that earned her nominations for Pop Artist of the Year at the Western Canadian Music Awards and Pop Recording of the Year at the YYC Music Awards — Kayla returns with her highly anticipated sophomore EP, POPSTALGIA.

POPSTALGIA leans into nostalgia with a modern twist. It’s playful, colourful, and unmistakably Kayla — full of big hooks, feel-good vibes, and that signature soulful sparkle.

To mark the occasion, Kayla will be hitting the road with her stellar band, The Yacht Daddies and yacht rocking Red Bird Brewing October 18th for an unforgettable night of music. Expect live performances of every track from POPSTALGIA, highlights from RETRODELIA, and a few surprise covers to keep the party going!

Kicking things off is Kelowna’s own Sally Wallick!

Come celebrate the release of POPSTALGIA in style- wear your finest glitter and get ready to groove- good times guaranteed!

Kayla Williams

Calgary’s Kayla Williams is a yacht-pop songstress who brings a modern, feminine flair to the glitter-drenched grooves of the ’70s and ’80s. She fuses soulful vocals with slick retro-funk swagger – think Hall & Oates meets HAIM, with a little Huey Lewis charm and a splash of Lake Street Dive.

Williams’ love of playful, lighthearted tunes with funky hooks and bass-driven grooves inspired her to create her sophomore EP, POPSTALGIA. The EP combines nostalgic old school sounds with pop and a feel-good vibe recorded by JUNO award winning producers Spencer Cheyne and Justin Kudding.

A seasoned musician, 13-year vocal coach and 2024 nominee for Pop Artist of the Year at the Western Canadian Music Awards, Williams is no stranger to the stage – she has performed extensively throughout Western Canada with her high energy band The Yacht Daddies. Her lighthearted songs offer a refreshing escape, showcasing the powerful force of femininity in music.

Sally Wallick

Sally Wallick is a Canadian singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, and looping artist based in Kelowna, whose dreamy alt-folk, ambient pop, and lo-fi electronic textures combine with introspective lyrics to create immersive performances. With her debut album SAL releasing November 1, she brings guitars, synths, piano, theremin, and beat machines together in sets that feel both intimate and otherworldly, delivered with playful energy both online and on the stage.
