Soulful Storytelling and Gentle Melodies
Some nights call for a little heartbreak, a little humour, and a lot of heart. On Saturday, November 21st, Red Bird Brewing welcomes Nova Scotia songwriter Joshua Smith and his trio, along with Kelowna’s own Danaii, for an evening of live music in Kelowna that is made for really listening.
Whether you’re a longtime fan of the Okanagan live music scene or looking for a new favourite concert in Kelowna, this is a night to settle in, sip something great, and soak up the stories.
Joshua Smith Trio
Hailing from a small town in Nova Scotia, Joshua Smith comes from a long line of songwriters and musicians. His voice is beautifully smooth and soulful, and his gift for storytelling draws listeners in with songs that are heartfelt and honest. From heartbreak to humour to everyday observations of life, Joshua invites you into his world to see how he experiences and processes life on this wild planet.
For this special performance, Joshua will be joined by longtime friend and musical collaborator Mitch Howanyk, formerly of Kentucky Eileen, and Darcy Booth on bass. Together, the trio brings a fresh dynamic to Joshua’s music, weaving rich instrumentation, musical chemistry, and storytelling into an intimate and engaging live performance.
With new music to share, Joshua and the trio are excited to bring these songs to life. Come have a listen for yourself!
