On 8th November, the stage will come alive with the electrifying sounds of The Great Fuss and 0Stella. Hailing from Saskatoon, The Great Fuss brings their signature blend of Britpop charm and modern indie rock energy, while Edmonton’s 0Stella fuses gritty alt-rock with Irish folk flair and eco-conscious vibes. Whether you’re a longtime fan or discovering these artists for the first time, this all-ages event promises a vibrant, genre-defying experience that will leave you buzzing long after the final chord.

The Great Fuss

The Great Fuss is a dynamic indie rock band hailing from Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, known for their electrifying live shows and genre-blending sound. Since their formation in 2015, the group has carved out a unique space in the Canadian music scene by fusing the melodic charm of classic Britpop with the raw energy of modern alternative rock.

Their music is a vibrant tapestry of pulsing piano lines, gritty guitar riffs, and kaleidoscopic rhythms that evoke influences ranging from The Beatles and The Kinks to Spoon and Joe Strummer. This sonic blend creates a nostalgic yet fresh experience that resonates across generations.

Led by frontman Pete Oldridge, whose voice and stage presence anchor the band’s identity, The Great Fuss includes a talented lineup of multi-instrumentalists who bring infectious enthusiasm to every performance. Their discography includes the acclaimed self-titled debut album The Great Fuss (2018), the introspective EP Root Thyself! (2019), and the full-length Late Quakes (2022). Their latest single, It Isn’t Criminal (2024), was mixed by Jim Eno of Spoon, adding a polished edge to their evolving sound.

Over the years, The Great Fuss has become a staple on festival stages and club circuits, sharing bills with celebrated acts like Steven Page (Barenaked Ladies), Chris Murphy (Sloan), Five Alarm Funk, and Wide Mouth Mason. Their performances at events such as Ness Creek, Doylefest, and Lakeside Music Festival have earned them a loyal following and critical acclaim.

Whether performing Beatles tributes or original tracks, The Great Fuss creates immersive musical moments that linger long after the final chord. Their commitment to authenticity, lyrical depth, and sonic exploration makes them one of the most compelling indie bands to emerge from the prairies.

0Stella

0Stella is an Alt-Rock Irish Fusion artist based in Edmonton, Alberta, blending gritty rock with Irish fiddle, bodhrán, and infectious pop melodies that shimmer with rebellion. Inspired by PJ Harvey’s song “Oh, Stella,” her name celebrates the power of opposites and reflects a commitment to sustainability—the “zero” in her name serves as a reminder to be mindful of the impact she has on the world and encourages her to make more eco-conscious choices, both in her art and in her daily life. With over 8,500 km of eco-conscious cycle (yes bicycle across Canada!) touring, 0Stella crafts music that is impactful as it is loud. Her latest release, Pendulum State (March 2025), captures the tension and movement of navigating opposing forces, showcasing her evolution as both a songwriter and sonic risk-taker. Whether playing solo for Oscar-winner Glen Hansard or fronting her 4-piece band, she fuses Canadian rock energy with Irish storytelling, drawing comparisons to Paramore, Garbage, Lana Del Rey, and The Frames. Her shows feature crowd sing-alongs in both English and Irish. As Buscadero Magazine (Italy) writes, 0Stella is “a meeting point between stage sweat, studio refinement and personal poetics, entrusted to a strong and razor-sharp voice.”
