Free live music returns to the Red Bird patio on Thursday, July 2 with a performance from Kelowna-based progressive jazz fusion outfit JAWC.
Built around a shared obsession with groove, improvisation, and musical exploration, JAWC brings together four musicians from vastly different backgrounds to create a sound that is equal parts technical, soulful, and irresistibly fun. What began as casual jams at local open mics quickly evolved into a band dedicated to crafting music that moves both the body and the mind.
Drawing inspiration from artists as diverse as John Mayer, Hiatus Kaiyote, Stevie Ray Vaughan, and Animals as Leaders, JAWC has developed a sound that blends jazz, funk, fusion, rock, and modern groove into something uniquely their own. Their music balances intricate musicianship with infectious rhythms, creating a live experience that feels both sophisticated and accessible.
