Get ready for a night of swampy slide guitar and hard-driving blues as the James Hay Blues Band takes the indoor stage at Red Bird Brewing on Thursday, November 20th from 7PM – 9PM.
Led by Western Canadian electric blues guitarist, singer, and songwriter James Hay, this Kelowna-based trio delivers an electric mix of original tunes and timeless blues standards. Featuring “Boogie Man” Blue Rooney on bass and PJ “Like the Pyjamas” Hermann on drums, their sound moves from swampy delta slide to jump, jive, swing, and boogie with undeniable groove.
Expect a night of gritty guitar, soulful vocals, and the kind of blues that makes you move — with nods to legends like Robert Johnson, Muddy Waters, Howlin’ Wolf, B.B. King, and modern masters like Gary Clark Jr. and Marcus King.
