Backyard Sessions is back for its first festival of the year, kicking things off with Backyard Sessions: Red & Pink—a Valentine’s Day celebration where winter meets dance music. Taking place outdoors at Red Bird Brewing, this special winter edition runs from 7pm–11pm and brings together fire pits, heaters, fire tables, and high-energy live music to keep the night warm and buzzing. Dress cozy, grab a drink, and settle in for an unforgettable winter music experience.

Headlining the night is Felix Cartal, one of Canada’s most celebrated electronic producers and DJs. Known for his melodic, energetic house sound and massive live shows, Felix Cartal has collaborated with artists like Kaskade, Lights, Tegan and Sara, and Rêve, while earning multiple JUNO Awards for Best Dance Recording. As the creative force behind the iconic Rose Disco brand—instantly recognizable by its pink aesthetic—Felix is the perfect match for a Red & Pink Valentine’s Day takeover. Expect club-ready house tracks, emotional buildups, and a set designed to move both hearts and feet.

The Royal Foundry

Supporting the headliner is The Royal Foundry, an indie alt-rock powerhouse known for explosive live performances and genre-blurring sound. Anchored by Jared Salte and Beth Schumacher, the band has earned national recognition with chart-climbing singles, millions of streams, and placements with Disney, MTV, the NHL, and beyond. Their live shows are immersive, high-energy, and emotionally charged—bringing a dynamic contrast that elevates the entire night.

DJ Invizible

Opening the evening and keeping the energy flowing between sets is DJ Invizible, a Kelowna staple with over 20 years behind the decks. Known for his high-energy blends of hip-hop, dancehall, Afro-fusion, and global rhythms, DJ Invizible sets the tone early and keeps the momentum rolling throughout the night, ensuring there’s never a lull on the dance floor.

This is a ticketed outdoor winter festival, and ticket tiers will increase as each level sells out. Early Bird pricing is limited, so grabbing tickets early is strongly encouraged.
