On Thursday, October 22nd, we’re welcoming indie singer-songwriter Anna Katarina to our stage for an evening that’s equal parts nostalgic and new.
Anna Katarina writes the kind of songs that stick with you: timeless, melodic, and rooted in the kind of emotional storytelling that feels like a conversation with an old friend. Drawing influence from powerhouse songwriters like Stevie Nicks, Sheryl Crow, and Kacey Musgraves, Anna’s sound blends classic warmth with a distinctly modern edge. It’s no surprise Exclaim! Magazine named her one of Canada’s “Hottest Emerging Artists,” or that Simon Le Bon gave her a shoutout on SiriusXM’s The Spectrum. As a 2026 Music BC ARC participant who’s performed across Europe and North America, Anna has built a reputation for live shows that are vulnerable, captivating, and deeply human. Much of her songwriting draws from the contrast between Vancouver’s urban energy and the wild landscapes just beyond it, finding beauty in the space where opposites meet, a theme that fits right in with an Okanagan crowd.
