Live music in Kelowna continues Thursday, May 28 as acclaimed Canadian songwriter Cara Luft takes the stage at Red Bird Brewing, joined by Ari Neufeld and Brent Tyler for a night rooted in storytelling, musicianship, and connection. Music runs from 8pm to 11pm for this special ticketed live music event.


Headlining the evening is Cara Luft, one of Canada’s most respected and beloved singer-songwriters. Known for her warmth, authenticity, and exceptional musicianship, Cara returns with her first solo album in over 13 years, My Heart Will Always Be. The album marks a deeply personal chapter in her career, shaped by a period of transformation and created alongside a close-knit group of collaborators she calls her “Quadrangle of Awesomeness.”


Recorded in Vancouver over an intimate 12-day session, the album highlights Cara’s ability to craft songs that feel both personal and universally relatable. Her writing explores the human experience with honesty and depth, offering listeners a reflection of life’s challenges, beauty, and resilience. With a sound rooted in folk traditions and elevated by her distinctive voice and instrumentation, Cara Luft delivers a performance that is both heartfelt and uplifting.

Ari Neufeld

Joining the lineup is Ari Neufeld, a one-man band whose performances are as dynamic as they are engaging. Blending guitar, piano, banjo, and rhythmic percussion, Ari creates a full and lively sound he describes as “Full Contact Folk.” His music moves effortlessly across genres, weaving together folk, pop, soul, and rock with humour and heart. Known for his ability to connect with audiences, Ari brings an energy that is both inspiring and entertaining.

Brent Tyler

Also performing is Brent Tyler, a standout voice in the Okanagan music scene known for his soulful presence and intricate guitar work. Combining folk-rock storytelling with rich melodies and emotional depth, Tyler’s music is grounded in honesty and lived experience. His performances balance power and sensitivity, delivering songs that resonate with themes of love, hope, and healing.
