They’re not invited to the party — they ARE the party.
Saturday, April 18th is about to get loud, colourful, and impossible to stand still at Red Bird Brewing as The Steadies hit the stage for a high-energy, dance-fuelled night of “island rock.”
The Steadies aren’t invited to the party — they ARE the party. Blending dance-rock with funk, pop, and reggae influences, this award-winning Canadian group has carved out their own signature sound that radiates positivity and connection. At the helm is legendary frontman Earl Pereira — a 3-time JUNO nominee and Canadian Music Hall of Fame inductee as co-founder of Wide Mouth Mason — bringing decades of stage command and charisma to every show.
The band’s resume speaks for itself: opening for Gwen Stefani, Ziggy Marley, and The Roots; performing at the Olympics, the Grey Cup, and the JUNO Awards; and earning features from TMZ to CBC Radio One. Currently touring in support of the vinyl release of their latest album and single Fifth Dimension, The Steadies deliver a live show that feels like a celebration — big hooks, infectious grooves, and an energy that pulls the whole room in.
Malusi
Opening the night is Malusi, an artist known for emotionally charged, heartfelt performances. Formerly part of award-winning duo MABALEKA, Malusi blends influences from Ben Howard, Frank Ocean, and Dermot Kennedy into a sound that’s soulful, reflective, and deeply personal. With over a decade of touring across Canada and Ireland, Malusi brings an intimate storytelling style that sets the tone before the dancefloor ignites.
This is one of those nights where the music takes over and the crowd becomes part of the show.
Tickets are $20 in advance and $25 at the door. Grab yours early — this one’s built to pack the room.
