nightshades:
“Four musicians–Andrew Judah, Caleb McAlpine (Common Fires), N. Sherman, and DL Ranney (Kailee Duggan, Swamp Honey)–have literally “banded” together to create strange and beautiful music. An equally scattered and unified cocktail of influences, experiences, and talents, nightshades is accessible, yet complex; brimming with psychedelic flourish, but grounded by hooks and pop sensibility.”

Amos the Kid:
“The announcement of Amos the Kid’s debut LP, Enough as it Was, follows the remarkable rise of Winnipeg’s Amos Nadlersmith from reclusive songwriter to hometown hero. Only a few years have passed since the not-quite-country musician was playing the odd diamond-in-the-rough set in a half-empty bar; now, he’s a stop-him-in-the-street performer playing for sold out crowds of hundreds.”

Kailee Duggan:
Renowned for her captivating melodies that blend poignant lyrics with catchy hooks, compelling listeners to tap their feet even to the most melancholic tunes. Influenced by Norah Jones, The Beatles and Bahamas, Kailee has developed a smooth and soulful folky/pop sound that is uniquely her own. This year Kailee has showcased her raw talent and magnetic stage presence at the iconic Dream Cafe in Penticton, and Kelowna’s favourite winter music festival, Fireside. Kailee is currently in the studio recording her music with producer and musician Andrew Judah, set to be released later this year.
