Red Bird Brewing is proud to host the POW Kelowna Community Run and Après Social on Saturday, March 21 from 10:30 AM to 2:00 PM in recognition of World Glaciers Day.
Organized by the Kelowna chapter of Protect Our Winters Canada, this community event brings together runners, outdoor enthusiasts, and members of the local winter sports community to raise awareness about climate change and the future of winter in Canada.
The morning begins with a community run departing from Red Bird Brewing at 11:00 AM, followed by a post-run social gathering back at the brewery. Guests can expect a relaxed community atmosphere with raffle prizes, sponsor tables, and an opportunity to connect with others who care about protecting the outdoor spaces that define life in the Okanagan.
The event will also include brief remarks from the POW Kelowna team about the organization’s mission and the importance of protecting winter ecosystems and glaciers.
Admission is free and everyone is welcome to attend. Donations to Protect Our Winters Canada are encouraged.
Food and beverages will be available for purchase throughout the event, including craft beer, cocktails, non-alcoholic drinks, and Red Bird’s wood fired pizzas and kitchen menu.
Whether you are participating in the run or simply stopping by for the social gathering, this community event is a chance to come together, support a meaningful cause, and connect with Kelowna’s outdoor community.
